Continuity of Operations/Business Resumption

The development of a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) can be accomplished through the active and dedicated participation of key personnel and emergency planning professionals. The approach and guiding philosophy of Andrews & Associates for the successful development and implementation of a COOP Plan consists of three elements:

  1. Awareness of the stakeholders
  2. Ownership of the overall methodology and the role individual plans will have on the outcome
  3. Internalizing so each individual has a thorough understanding of the plan and the essential elements that insure successful implementation

To accomplish the goal of developing a valid COOP, we offer the following:

Planning

  • Research and author a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) that support PDD 67, customized for your agency or department
  • Ready your agency/department for successful plan activation and recovery
  • Position you for alternate site recovery
  • Demonstrate how a well designed and tested plan can ensure your ability to continue operations

Education and Communication

  • Present workshops focused on COOP awareness and activation tactics
  • Deliver train-the-trainer sessions
  • Provide you with the tools to promote good communication within your agency/department and across agency lines
  • Prepare collateral materials and identify other information sources to use in fostering awareness of COOP actions

Testing and Validation

  • Assist you in validating the completeness of your plan by designing and leading a desktop drill or scripted activation exercise
